CAIRO WOODCARVERS CLUB meets the third Monday of each month in the Community Room of the Cairo Public Library, 15 Railroad Avenue, Cairo. Those attending should have some experience and be of an age to handle carving tools safely, as this is not a class and there is no instruction.

24TH ANNUAL JURIED ART SHOW at Columbia-Greene Community College’s Foundation Gallery. This event invites art students from surrounding high schools to show their work and compete for prize money. Foundation Gallery will award $600 in prizes for first, second, and third place, three honorable mentions, and a Director’s Prize. Awards presented at 4:30 p.m. on January 21 at a ceremony in the Gallery; in case of bad weather, the opening and awards ceremony will be on Thursday, Jan. 23.
